FAQs - AthleticDogs for a Cause Program

Who is eligible for AthleticDogs for a Cause?

Any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is eligible to participate in AthleticDogs for a Cause. Both dog organizations and non-dog organizations are welcome and encouraged to participate.

How does AthleticDogs for a Cause work?

Your organization registers with AthleticDogs using our handy-dandy online form.  Once your supporting documents (your 501(c)(3) letter) is received, you are emailed a code that is used by shoppers at checkout. When a customer checks out, they type in your code into the coupon code box, and 1% of their total order (before tax & shipping) is credited to your account. Once a quarter, you receive a statement. Cash payments are made quarterly; you can redeem your credit for product at any time.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Nada. Zip. There is never any cost to the organization to participate in AthleticDogs for a Cause. If you choose to redeem your donations in product, your credit also applies to tax and shipping costs for your ordered products. For example, if your order total is $25.50 including tax and shipping, then $25.50 will be used from your credit account.

How much can we earn?

There is no limit imposed on how much you can earn by AthleticDogs.com. Realistically, your earnings are going to be based on how many people use your organization’s code, how much they buy, and how often they buy. Your earnings will definitely depend on how widely you promote the program.

When are we paid?

Donation checks (if you’ve opted for cash payment) and earning statements are sent to participating organizations once per quarter, the first week of April, July, October, and January. If you have opted for payment in product, your credits can be redeemed anytime.

How are we paid?

Donation checks are made out in the name of the organization and mailed to the contact on record with AthleticDogs.com. If you need to change the contact, just email ForaCause@athleticdogs.com.

How do we register?

To register for AthleticDogs for a Cause, use our handy online form to start the process. You will be contacted by us to confirm your information and asked to send in your 501(c)(3) letter for confirmation. Letters can also be emailed to ForaCause@athleticdogs.com.
